The title stumbles along, much like the rhythms gathered here. “My Frequencies, When We” is the eighth Mapstation album Stefan Schneider has released since 2000. Hailing from Düsseldorf, the electronic music artist and producer finds inspiration in African and South American folklore, dub and, naturally, Krautrock, taking his time to process his responses in a consistently thoughtful manner, never resorting to cliché.

Now this is serious stuff. There aren't many albums like this one, so well crafted, with a great equilibrium between two evocative instrumental tracks (1 & 3) and two mesmerizing songs (2 & 4). All works like a charm!
Solid and nuanced work, plenty of kosmische beauty and ambient, kraut splendor.
Beware with the impressive Himmelfahrten piece, it's very addictive!!!
Bravo!

In an homage to early clicks 'n' cuts, Harz employs the art of microsampling to create these nine hypnotic numbers. Bandcamp New & Notable May 15, 2022
This Chicago quintet use classical and contemporary instrumentation to craft this beautifully contemplative ambient release. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 2, 2023
Do you have urban naturo-deficiency ?
Wah-Wah whispers does more than curing it.
Lovely "ambient" plasma that oozes nature in its extravagant simplicity and dazzling beauty. Some tracks like Hidden Story have a certain way of seamlessly changing details.
More urban minimal TicTac, remains very organic and interesting. Superb sense of sober development and suspense.
I love especially Take Me There, Hidden Story, and Wah-Wah Whispers. paul mahoux tonseisha records
